![]() I find this game to be a disappointment and even worse annoying. It is not a very long DLC, clocking in at around 3-4 hours, but it is enjoyable for those who want more down-to-earth Serious Sam action. It is unfortunate that this DLC will be lost in obscurity, but if you decide to buy SS3, then grab this alongside it if it costs as much as a cup of coffee. The uncanny feel of the main game is gone. Although Serious Sam 3 didn't gain the traction Croteam wanted because of its lackluster gameplay, Jewel of the Nile was a nice sequel to play through. The jetpack in the third level was fun to play with again, although it was a bit buggy. The maps are meaningful to explore, and the puzzles in the second map reminded me of the ones I went through in The Second Encounter. The weapons and enemies were rebalanced in this sequel to give a more fluid and genuine Serious Sam feel. I suggest playing above Normal to truly experience all that this DLC has to offer. ![]() With the game set at Serious, it really gives your brain a workout since you can't casually Rambo through enemies and must play conservatively due to the ease of dying and the limited ammo.
